This design was derived from a 1903 chair inlay design created by Harvey Ellis for Gustav Stickley. Our Ellis Pendant Trio has an Art Nouveau feel to it with a Japanese inspired base design. Embroidered with a chocolate brown body in our heavy natural linen, this design is warm and not overly decorative.
From an American firm specializing in Arts & Crafts and Art Nouveau embroidered linens, this pillow is made from a hefty weight natural Belgian linen and embroidered with a 1910 type heavy corded Rayon thread imported from Germany.
The embroidery is done by a machine that has been modified to use this heavy embroidery thread and has the advantage of maintaining the integrity of the historically accurate design while reducing expense and creating the hand embroidered look.
The pillow itself is filled with 5% duck down and 95% duck feathers inside a heavy cotton cover. Allergies? Not a problem. We can provide a dense polyester fill at your request.
The pocket style pillow case is easily removed for cleaning. Both case and pillow are machine washable in cold water and should be tumble dried with the pillow case steam ironed. Difficult stains should be dry cleaned.
