Our whimsical door knocker was reproduced from an original one recently discovered in the Hunter archives. There are only 2 known to exsist. This enchanting creature was created by famous illlustrator W.W. Denslow, best known for his illustrations of The Wizard of Oz. During his time working for the Roycrofters, Denslow also created his most significant designs of a pair of seahorse fireplace andirons.
